DICE's shooter retains the top spot, while Uncharted 3 debuts at number two, Sonic Generations in the top 10. EA's heavy-hitter Battlefield 3 maintained the top spot for a second week in the UK All-Formats chart, fending off newcomer Uncharted 3. This is a record for any game in the series, with previous game Battlefield: Bad Company 2 being knocked from its top position by Final Fantasy XIII in the second week. Batman: Arkham City romped to number one in this week's UK Charts, almost doubling the sales figures of its predecessor, Batman: Arkham Asylum. Football Manager 2012 also enjoyed a successful debut in third spot, narrowly missing out to FIFA 12, which clung to second place by a mere 1,800 units. Headlining the charge in this week's releases is Batman: Arkham City for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which is coming out this Wednesday. Employee's LinkedIn page says studio currently at work on code-named Project Atlantis, Phoenix, and Nova for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Wii U. Activision-owned developer Vicarious Visions is presently at work on the 3DS iteration of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventures. However, the Albany, New York-based company appears to have at least three new games in the development pipeline. What will Vicarious Visions sketch out on Nintendo's new console? Have you heard about Spyro's upcoming adventure, Skylanders? It's an augmented reality-capable game coming out for 3DS, PS3, Wii, 360, and PC, in which players place a toy on a special mat that warps the character into the game (learn more here). Activision has sent us the first in the line of toys, teasing that we'll be able to bring little Spyro to life during E3. The figure came with a note which gives us the location where we can "Experience the Magic." First things first, though, we need to take the little guy out of the package. Activision has revealed augmented reality plans for a Spyro game that will allow players to collect action figures in real life and put them in the game, shattering the boundaries between reality and virtual reality!
