This video shows the two 22-inch 120Hz LCD monitors side by side, connected with an Dual-Link DVI splitter cable to a single output of the video card in order to check if there is actually a difference in terms of input lag between the two displays. The video was shot at 240 fps in order to catch even small differences (use the pause button to compare), but the numbers on the timer stay the same on both monitors, meaning that neither one has more or less input lag than the other one. My last tests confirmed that the 120Hz Viewsonic has little to no input lag compared to a good CRT monitor, so how well does new 120Hz Acer GD245HQ compare to that. Use the pause button to compare the numbers on both displays, the video is shot with a camera recording at 240 fps. Slower response (lower number of milliseconds) means input lag (delay) of the image because of the processing before being show on the screen. The Acer shows from zero to about 15-16 ms delay compared to the ViewSonic, but have in mind that both displays are running a clone image (using DVI splitter) with resolution of 1680x1050 which is not the native one for the Full HD Acer display! www.3dvision-blog.com

Both screens are jokes, fast for gaming but with TN panels. One with 60hz and the other with 120hz but has huge amounts of backlight bleeding. In the video it looks like more backlight bleeding than there actually is in real life, the camera auto-adjusted the brightness because of the low light in the room. Anyways it reveals it very well.. Don't get me wrong, it is very noticable even in real life, the feeling could somewhat be compared to sunlight reflecting off the screen or having something in your eyes. The brightness on the ViewSonic was somewhere around 33, the bleeding shows even more if I use higher. The 120hz works very well on the viewsonic but the bleeding makes it unbearable.
