Monitor Reviews: 22''-30'' LCD Displays

Despite being mainly aimed at professional users, the ViewSonic VP2765-LED, a 27'' Full HD monitor might also prove popular with the general public because of its great usability, wide range of accessories and quality MVA display. ViewSonic has given its latest 27'' monitor a height-adjustable stand on a rotating base and the ability to spin the display round to portrait mode. It's just as well that the MVA display has super-wide viewing angles that work perfectly with that portrait mode. The VP2765-LED also has a four-port USB hub, with two ports on the left-hand side and two at the back, which is always welcome. The inputs include DVI, VGA and DisplayPort connectors, but it won't be much use for watching movies without an HDMI input or speakers. That doesn't, of course, impact on its principle role, being a computer monitor. ViewSonic lists a response time of 25 ms in the VP2765-LED's specs, meaning it was never going to manage to keep fast-moving images looking smooth. Our own test results confirmed that it really isn't a good choice for avid gamers.
