Oggi parliamo del Synology Disk Station DS109j, una soluzione avanzata per l'archiviazione dei dati. All'interno della confezione in cartone rigido troviamo il cavo di alimentazione con il trasformatore, il cavo LAN ed il dispositivo. Come possiamo vedere, il design Disk Station Synology è molto elegante, la scocca è in plastica di colore bianco e sulla parte inferiore abbiamo 4 piedini in gomma antiscivolo che ne garantiscono la stabilità. Le dimensioni di questa Disk Station sono poco più estese di quelle di un comune Box esterno per Hard disk: occupa infatti solo 16 cm in altezza, 6.2 in larghezza e 22 in profondità. Sulla parte frontale troviamo: tre led di stato, il tasto di accensione, un ingresso USB e un tasto che attiva la funzione USBCopy per effettuare - con un solo click - un veloce backup dei dati da un dispositivo di archiviazione USB verso Synology Disk Station. Sulla parte posteriore troviamo invece l'ingresso di alimentazione e quelli per il cavo LAN e USB. Infine, nella parte superiore, troviamo una piccola ventola che permette un'eccellente dispersione del calore.
