Got these in the mail today and thought I'd give you all a quick look at them. This is the brand new XAI laser gaming mouse from Steelseries and one of their new gaming surfaces, the 4HD. Spent some time using them tonight and while I really like the tracking on the XAI, the ergonomics are just not up to par with the Ikari Laser (my current favourite). The 4HD doesn't do anything for me (cloth user), but the medium-rough surface user in the house really likes it so far.

Steelseries Xai, scrollwheel problems

COMMENTS NOT RELATED TO THE SCROLLWHEEL PROBLEMS WILL BE DELETED. I don't need people telling me I have to use the numeric buttons. That doesn't take away the problems with this mouse. Since I made this video I returned the Xia in exchange for an Ikari. That mouse broke after 3 months use, the LMB didn't function properly anymore. I have sworn of Steelseries and I advise others todo so aswell. You pay premium for sub-par quality. The scrollwheel of my Steelseries Xai malfunctions a lot. Steelseries sais it's a hardware failure but the nature of the problem makes me believe it's a software failure. What happens is the following (best seen at 0:16, 0:44 and 1:07). When you scroll it doesn't register the scroll, sometimes it doesn't register multiple scrolls. Untill it some point when you scroll it decides to kick back in and sends all the previous scrolls at once so you're left there scrolling like a maniac. The order is as follows: P90 - Smoke - Flash - HE - Knife - Deagle At 0:16, 0:44 and 1:07 I have the P90. I scroll once which should make it switch to smoke but it doesn't. When I scroll again it sends 2 scrolls which makes it skip the smoke and switch to flash.
