Mad Catz Cyborg M.M.O 7 Gaming Mouse Review
Billed as the "world's most adjustable gaming mouse," the Mad Catz Cyborg M.M.O. 7 features 15 programmable buttons and a sweet customizable chassis that wouldn't look out of place in a Michael Bay movie. But the $129 asking price is a bit like a mini-boss, annoying but not insurmountable. Is the Cyborg M.M.O. 7 worth the bucks?Click to EnlargeWe consistently had to fight the urge to yell "Autobots, roll out!" when we first saw the Cyborg M.M.O 7. The majority of the mouse is covered in glossy white plastic with wicked gray and blue accents. We were especially fond of the little blue scratch marks painted on the thumb panel. The right and left mouse buttons have prominent backlighting for a touch of customized color. Additional backlighting is on the left side of the mouse designating the different DPI and MMO modes.The white, gray and blue color scheme is a welcome change from the black found on most mice, but MadCatz pushes the envelope even further. Instead of going with a unibody design, the Cyborg features a lot of open space and funky paneling. A space between the back and middle panels reveals a large chrome dial. Another dial juts out prominently from the rear of the mouse.

If you've ever seen any of Cyborg's mice you know they look nothing like anything else out there. The only way to really describe them is to say they look like something a cyborg would use or a transformer. I was always skeptical about the Cyborg mice, I mean yeah they look awesome, but are they actually comfortable? Well I can say after using the Cyborg M.M.O. 7 Gaming Mouse for quite a while now it is the most comfortable mouse I have used and I couldn't imagine using another mouse ever again. Besides being comfortable it features 13 programmable buttons, a true 6400 DPI ‘Twin-Eye' laser sensor, dual ActionLock buttons, a custom weight system and much more. The front actually opens up so you can see what the mouse looks like before you buy it. Mad Catz Cyborg M.M.O. 7 Gaming Mouse
PC gamers use mice as their weapons of choice, and MMO gamers, when possible, use micee with many buttons as their specific weapons of choice.Instead of a few basic commands focusing around aiming and shooting, MMOs (and strategy games) use many, many diverse commands for different situations. Usually, these are accomplished by hitting keys on the keyboard in quick succession, but for gamers who prefer to keep their ring, middle, and index fingers squarely on the A, W, and D keys, MMO mice are extremely useful. Previous MMO mice, like the Razer Naga Epic, have a bank of buttons where one or two thumb buttons would be found on a normal mouse, mapped to the number pad or the command bar. The Mad Catz Cyborg M.M.O. 7 goes in a slightly different direction, but packs just as many different buttons onto its customizeable body. DesignThe M.M.O. 7 looks like a more complicated, wired version of the R.A.T.-9. Like the wireless mouse, it has a weight cartridge with five 6-gram weights you can add or remove to make it feel heavier, three interchangeable palm rests, and three interchangeable pinky rests.
