News Update: Hulu Plus Coming To TiVo

TiVo announced that it will make Hulu Plus, the premium online video service, available to its Premiere digital video recorder subscribers, while Roku will offer it via its media player that streams web content to digital TV, according to an Information Week report. Hulu is co-owned by News Corp. (NYSE:NWSA), NBC Universal (NYSE:GE) and The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS). The online video service launched the premium service in beta in June, with plans to charge a subscription fee while also running advertising. In order to entice potential customers, Hulu plans to offer the full season of popular TV shows, including "Modern Family," "Glee," "The Office," "30 Rock," and "Grey's Anatomy." The site will also offer back seasons of many classic shows.
