Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710
While it may not have the comfort curve of the Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 ($89.95 direct, 4 stars), the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK700 keyboard offers a great feature set and comfortable typing experience. It's coupled with the Marathon Mouse M705 ($49.99 direct, 4.5 stars), making the Desktop MK710 bundle ($89.99 direct with M705 mouse) is a great addition to any office or work space. The MK700 has two sets of legs that raise the keyboard 4 degrees or 8 degrees. The keys are all neat little incurved squares that provide a soft typing experience. On the far right there is a numeric key pad for number crunchers. Above the lettered keys are the function keys that also have designated shortcut features. For instance, press fn + F1 to bring up your browser, fn + F2 to bring up Outlook, fn + F11 to bring up Microsoft Word, and so on. There are also designated standalone quick keys such as a calculator and eject button. There's an LED screen at the top center of the keyboard that tracks your battery life, and button selections such as Num Lock and Caps Lock. On either side of the LED screen are media player buttons to play, fast forward, rewind, pause and control volume.

The Logitech MK710 keyboard and mouse pack puts user comfort first. The keyboard is pleasant to use thanks to its slightly convex keys and spongy padded wrist rest. Plus, both devices offer all the convenience of wireless operation, and have enormous battery lives that Logitech claims to be 3 years each. As well as this, the MK710 features ‘longer key travel' for deeper typing and a discreet black and white LCD showing battery life, Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock statuses. Sounds pretty much perfect doesn't it? Typing is actually quite a surprising experience with the MK710. Longer key travel makes typing feel ‘deeper' when you hit the keys, and the Space bar is certainly noisier than on other keyboards as it bounces back up with a sharp clunk. So if you don't like heavy, classic-style keys (think old-school IBM keyboards) or the lightweight keys typically found on laptops, then this keyboard could make an interesting happy medium. The MK710 is another addition to Logitech's range of ‘large-key' keyboards, but the MK710 doesn't have the wave-shaped key frame that you either loved or hated in the Wave series.
