Logitech Wireless Trackball M570

The classic trackball mouse belongs to a niche crowd, but after using one, it's hard to go back to the more mainstream point-and-click method of navigation. Logitech has introduced a new wireless trackball solution (via USB adapter) into this underrepresented category of computer mice, the M570 ($59.99 direct). This advanced navigating peripheral allows users the option of simple plug-and-play activation or stepping up their gaming experience with downloadable software. Its only faults are in its poorly placed browser buttons and scroll wheel. The M570 has a dark grey, matte finish contrasted by the bold marble-looking blue trackball. The design is modest and not overly loud like most gaming mice and desktops tend to be. The structure of the device was comfortable, and the way my hand curved around its body felt natural. In between the two mouse buttons is a rubbery scroll wheel that I found to be too resistant for my tastes, compared to that of the smoother metallic and plastic scroll wheel of the M705. To the right of the mouse buttons are back and forward browser buttons, for quick and easy internet navigation.
