UL Environment announced at CES 2010 that LG Electronics is the first company to earn UL Environments new Sustainable Product Certification (SPC) for high tech equipment. LGs new 23-inch class E2350V LED LCD computer monitor is the first product to complete UL Environments independent, third-party certification for meeting the IEEE 1680 environmental performance benchmark for consumer electronics, which includes ENERGY STAR® requirements for energy efficiency. The LG monitor will be the first to carry the UL Environment Sustainable Product Certification mark, a green leaf encircling the familiar UL initials. UL Environment-certified environmental criteria include the elimination or reduction of certain hazardous substances that pose threats to human health and the environment. 90% of the materials and parts can be reused or recycled, reducing the amount of materials sent to landfills. The monitor is sold in packaging that is 90% recyclable as well.

Hey guys look at this awsome monitor from LG. It has crisp colors, nice brithness, touch sensitive menu buttons. Its a matte finish. So nothing is reflected on the screen, it's not fingerprinter neither dust magnet. I realy like my new monitor. Please comment and subcribe!!!

Note: I have not removed the plastic protection on the screen yet. Also note that what I wanted to show in the video doesn't really record very well, I don't have the right equipment to record noise. I bought this monitor yesterday at a large well-known retailer here in The Netherlands, on sale for 129 euros. I was looking for an affordable non-TN monitor. My criteria were: wide viewing angles, relatively good colour fidelity, relatively little colour shift and (very important:) a silent/quiet backlight inverter and silent/quiet power supply. Unfortunately the last criteria were not met in this monitor. The 2333T is VERY NOISY. It already started to buzz when I turned the monitor on the first time. This electric noise is CONSTANT and doesn't change regardless of the brightness setting. It even buzzes at a brightness level of 100; (this is somewhat unexpected because most monitors that emit noise do this when the brighness level is set at a lower level than 100, causing the backlight inverter to suppress electricty and thus to emit noise if the inverter is of a cheap build). My conclusion is that the noise comes from the internal power supply, not from (what is more usual) the backlight inverter. UPDATE: I have noticed that another person (in Germany) who initially bought 2 of these in December has now the same problem. His first monitor was buzzing when he just bought it (but he gave it to his inlaws who have some ear problems and could not hear the buzz). His second ...

This is the unboxing of my new monitor that I purchased today, the LG E2350V. The Story Behind It: I originally had received an LG W2340V for Christmas, but I didn't like the performance. I then returned it to get an ASUS VE228H, but Best Buy kept going on backorder / out of stock on the monitor, so I had to wait to get another one. I then got the ASUS VE248H, but It had one dead pixel in the top right of the display. Because of all those bad experiences, I went with an LED monitor, mainly the LG E2350V. I got this monitor because my dad has had one since November, and he said that it has given him very good performance. So far, I am very pleased with this monitor, proving that my father's judgement was quite good :).
