HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One

For $50 more than the Photosmart 5510, the 7510 adds access to HP's ePrintCenter apps available for download directly on the display, just as you would on modern smartphones. The wireless connection required to log into the store also permits entry to ePrint, a convenient service that takes the job queue to the cloud for remote printing. For homes and offices looking to get creative with their prints, the $150 HP Photosmart 7510 offers easy to use connections, a host of useful apps in the ePrintCenter, and high resolution yields for an affordable price. The Photosmart 7510 combines the functionality of a printer, scanner, and copier into a low-profile chassis finished in matte black that jells with HP's current design aesthetic. It measures 17.9 inches long by 17.7 inches tall and 7.7 inches wide, so it will take up a considerable amount of room on your desk, but the chassis includes the tray that corrals outbound prints, saving at least some space. HP extends its trend of touch-compatible displays on the 7510 with a 4.3-inch color screen positioned on the far left of the device. The color graphic display (CGD) takes on the familiar shape of the original iPhone with a rectangular screen fitted inside a rounded edge, with virtual buttons that illuminate to help with navigation and selection.

Multifunction Inkjet Printer Reviews

The HP Photosmart e-All-In-One is the high-end model in the latest Photosmart range unveiled in the autumn. Well equipped on the hardware side with a scanner and copier, it can also send a fax without a phone line with the eFax feature. It’s aimed at both the general consumer and professionals looking for the all-round capabilities of an inkjet and a machine they can print both text and photos on. The standard 64 MB memory means it can be shared comfortably by a group of twenty people. From a purely aesthetic point of view, this printer isn't comparable to the elegance you get with Canon machines. Here in editorial it has been compared to the Marina from the 80s because of its size (45.5 x 45 x 22 cm and 8.4 Kg) and unusual architecture. However, like all the others in the range, this Photosmart is a real pleasure to use. It’s very intuitive and the user is nicely guided in spite of the multitude of features. It really is child’s play and setting up the wi-fi connection is no exception to the rule. You work your way around the menu using a very responsive touchscreen on the front of the printer. It also has a USB connection but you need a wi-fi connection to consult the on-board applications and print straight from the printer.

HP PhotoSmart 7510 e-All-in-One

The HP PhotoSmart 7510 e-All-in-One ($199.99 direct) is a multifunction printer (MFP) geared primarily to home use, though its automatic document feeder (ADF) and paper capacity give it some home-office chops. It does print beautiful photos, and has a large touch screen and can take advantage of HP's ePrint and Web app services. The 7510 measures 8.7 by 17.9 by 17.7 inches and weighs 18.5 pounds. A 4.3-inch tilt-up touch LCD lies to the left of the It can print, copy, and scan (as well as fax wirelessly through eFax); work as a standalone Web-enabled device; print from and scan to a memory card (slots are limited to SD/MultiMediaCard and Memory Stick Duo), but it lacks a port for a USB thumb drive. It has a 125-sheet main paper tray and a 25-sheet photo-paper tray, plus an automatic duplexer for printing on both sides of a sheet of paper. A 25-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) lets you copy, scan, and fax multi-page documents. The 7510 can run HP's Web apps; several come pre-loaded, with their icons appearing carousel-style at the top of the 4.3-inch touch LCD, and more can be added through the HP ePrintCenter.

HP Photosmart 7510 review

With print quality very high and prices ultra-low, what can multifunction printer manufacturers do to improve on previous models? This new HP Photosmart 7510 sets itself apart by offering a huge range of features, but it also leaves a few behind. The HP Photosmart 7510 uses five ink tanks: CMYK, plus a pigmented black for clear, waterproof text. It connects to your Mac through USB or to your home network using Wi-Fi b/g/n, and has AirPrint for printing from iOS devices. With ePrint, you can email a document to your printer from anything that can send an email, and eFax lets you send and receive faxes over the internet. The Photosmart 7510's clear, responsive 4.3-inch touchscreen and intuitive icon-driven interface makes it very easy to use, though the screen isn't a detachable tablet like last year's HP eStation. Auto-Duplex gives two-sided printing, and it also takes advantage of HP's mini-apps. You can access internet services like Facebook and Snapfish, print calendars, forms, graph paper and puzzles, check the local weather forecast and more, all direct from the printer. Additional apps are available for download. As you'd expect from an HP, the Photosmart 7510 puts in an excellent printing performance.
