Epson's six-colour PX830FWD is designed to produce top quality hard copies of your snaps, while also putting business features like copying and faxing at your fingertips. It can be bought online for around £190, which is relatively affordable, especially as it includes Wi-Fi and supports two-sided printing. As all-in-one machines go, the PX830FWD is a fairly attractive-looking printer. Epson has used a glossy black finish on the front and top, while the side panels have a matte coating. Although the chassis is made entirely from plastic, it does feel reasonably well built. One aspect of the design that I particularly like is that you can fold the control panel down and flip up a lid at the bottom to cover the paper trays so that machine takes up less space when not in use. I like the design of this well-built printer, particularly the space-saving flip-up lid at the bottom that covers the paper trays. The control panel is quite large and only has one physical button for turning the printer on and off. All the other features are handled by a combination of the large colour touchscreen and touch buttons that are positioned to the right and left of the display.
Photographers need a certain level of professionalism in all aspects of their work, so, if you work from home, choosing the right printer is key. The Epson Stylus Photo PX830FWD printer is one of Epson’s most recent six-colour home inkjet printers and is aimed at photographers. It boasts a wide range of features including WiFi, an SD card reader and even a CD drive. However, with a relatively high price tag of around £200, is it worth it? Let’s take a closer look. The Epson PX830FWD is an all-in-one printer featuring a printer, scanner, copier and a fax machine costing around the £200 mark. However, if this is over your budget then you can opt to purchase the PX830FWD’s younger sibling, the PX730FWD, for around £130. The PX730FWD lacks both the fax and high-definition printing features that the PX830FWD has, therefore meaning that whilst the PX730FWD will be unable to send and receive faxes, it will still be able to print relatively decent photographs. The Epson PX830FWD features a glossy black design and is relatively large, but considering the sheer amount of features, it’s more than justified.
