Playing Mario Kart 64 on MacBook Pro 13" with Dell Ultrasharp U2311H 23" Wide 16:9 monitor. The emulator used is sixtyforce, v0.9.5 b1 for Mac OS X. The movie was filmed with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 at HD-720p. I think the game runs at 1440x1080 with higher quality textures, which is nice on a large monitor like this and the graphics is better than in the old days! The old consoles resolution at 640x480 would be a pain in the ass! The controller is an original Nintendo Wii Classic Controller used with a Mayflash Wii Classic Controller 2 USB adapter. Just a quick video. With the new technology E-IPS professional monitors are now make affordable. The Dell monitor is much better in every situation Current scams- Response time- Forget about it you will never see a difference between 2ms and 8ms Its a scam. Dynamic contrast- The samsung may have 5million to 1 and the dell may have 10k to 1 but the darks on the dell are crisp and sharp while the samsung and pretty much every other TN pannel is bleached out.

My first IPS monitor U2311H is very impressive and affordable. It is a great value for a mid-range IPS panel display for the image performance and color reproduction. Filmed with: Panasonic FZ35 Audio Recording: Blue YETI USB mic Intro: Made by DarkMx1000

Note: I have not removed the plastic protection on the screen yet. Also note that what I wanted to show in the video doesn't really record very well, I don't have the right equipment to record noise. I bought this monitor yesterday at a large well-known retailer here in The Netherlands, on sale for 129 euros. I was looking for an affordable non-TN monitor. My criteria were: wide viewing angles, relatively good colour fidelity, relatively little colour shift and (very important:) a silent/quiet backlight inverter and silent/quiet power supply. Unfortunately the last criteria were not met in this monitor. The 2333T is VERY NOISY. It already started to buzz when I turned the monitor on the first time. This electric noise is CONSTANT and doesn't change regardless of the brightness setting. It even buzzes at a brightness level of 100; (this is somewhat unexpected because most monitors that emit noise do this when the brighness level is set at a lower level than 100, causing the backlight inverter to suppress electricty and thus to emit noise if the inverter is of a cheap build). My conclusion is that the noise comes from the internal power supply, not from (what is more usual) the backlight inverter. UPDATE: I have noticed that another person (in Germany) who initially bought 2 of these in December has now the same problem. His first monitor was buzzing when he just bought it (but he gave it to his inlaws who have some ear problems and could not hear the buzz). His second ...
