Taking a closer look at the D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N Router. Some good points, a major bad point. 3 out of 5 stars overall. My recommendation is to consider the slightly more expensive D-Link DIR-655 instead. The minimal price difference is worth it. If you have more money to spend, take a look at the D-Link DGL-4500. Sorry for the quality (and bad transitions). I'm hoping to get a real video camera soon, so please bare with me.

i fixed it by connected my computer directly to my modem instead of my router. (d-link DIR-615 is my router and it doesnt allow steam to connect so dont get the router.) OK...i tried EVERYTHING... I turned off my firewall, and added Steam.exe as an exception.I reinstalled it like 10 times but still no.i added an exception to AVG Free Spyware.What else do i do!?please help! How to Port Forward for Remote Desktop on a D-Link Router

Please see the link below for a table of routers and their IP Addresses and Login Information. You may also find the login information on the underside of your router. www.techspot.com Please note that I only changed the Public and Private Port on my router as it was a continuation of my previous video where I change the Remote Desktop Port Number in Windows. The steps are as follows: - Open a web browser. - In the URL Bar type 192.168.xx * The xx is brand specific. Refer to the link above. For D-Link it is 192.168.0.1 and for Linksys it is 192.168.1.1. - Enter the appropriate Login Information for your Router. - Select the Advanced Tab at the top. - Select the Application Name drop down box. - Select Remote Desktop * Note that for multiple remote desktop connections you will have to add a letter or number after the Remote Desktop name as there cannot be multiple rules in the router with the same name. - Change the Public and Private Port number to the appropriate one that you have designated your computer. - Select the computer you wish to access remotley from the Computer Name drop down box. - Click on the box on the left hand side ensuring that it has a checkmark in it. - Click Save Settings. - You are finished!
