Announced as the most compact printer in the Pixma range, this is the latest A3 model to be released. For office document and photo prints, this monofunction inkjet printer has been designed for individuals and small companies. A replacement for the Canon iX4000, it promises exceptional quality prints, print size up to A3+ and a good range of creative features. It represents a good compromise for those who want an A3 printer but don't necessarily have the need for or the means to buy a pro model (upwards of £500). From a purely aesthetic point of view, this printer figures among the most elegant and compact in the A3 range. Its extended curves and glossy hood give it a modern, balanced and studied look. It has just two buttons on the front: an on/off and another to stop printing if need be. Although elegant and compact, it's low on features with no wi-fi and network connectivity, double-sided, fax, copier, scanner or card reader. This paucity of features costs it a couple of stars in our rating. There are five individual ink cartridges. They're accessible, practical and positioned under the centre of where the hood opens.
