Monitors these days come with a lot of aesthetic sense, apart from offering the performance chops. The ASUS ML238H is one good looking full HD monitor being a 23-inch LED backlit LCD one. But what will grab your attention, apart from the slim design is the unique stand that the monitor comes with. It basically has two discs, one of which lays flat on the base (table) and the other can be attached to the base of the monitor. Setting up the stand is a bit of a task as the discs have to be locked into each other as well as on the monitor. Also the base metal disc is on the heavier side. Once installation of the base is done, you notice that vertical movement is not possible, but you can easily swivel from side to side. But we did notice that the monitor tends to wobble when you give it a nudge on the side. The monitor has a glossy black bezel which houses touch sensitive buttons in the bottom right hand corner. The panel itself has a matte finish, so we are spared unwanted reflections which are so common on glossy panels. Coming to the rear side, we have a glossy white plastic finish. Power connector is present at the base and the monitor comes with a power adapter, thus explaining the slim profile. There are only two connectivity ports, viz the D-sub and the HDMI port, which is a bit sad. But you do get a DVI to HDMI converter.
