Don't forget to subscribe! The Nvidia 8800GT Alpha Dog edition graphics card is powerful enough for most games but the heatsink / fan seems small. The GPU was around 65 degrees celsius on idle and I found that too much. The chip reached 85 celsius during a normal game. Since I just built my pc and I installed an aftermarket cpu cooler, I didn't need the stock AMD heatsink anymore. I searched a use for it until I tought of my graphic card. The heatsink of the Nvidia is too complicated to just replace it with the AMD one. So I decided to fix the AMD fan on the Nvidia and it worked! The GPU runs much cooler now. Here I have gotten 3 ACER S243HL monitors and paired them with Nvidia's 2D Surround on my 2 GTX 480 HC FTW graphic cards. The monitors overall are a great bank for the buck and support some nice features. They do lack a DVI port, but with 2 HDMI and a Analog connection that won't be missed. The monitors do offer speakers, but int his review I am not testing them out.

I get a solid 60 fps while playing! :) However, recording reduces it to 25-30fps :(. Tessellation and Advanced DOF kill performance by 30 fps and aren't really all that noticeable so they are disabled. Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE! I modified my 8800GT Alpha Dog graphic card by putting an AMD CPU heatsink / fan on it. I run the Furmark program to test it and I got good results. The stock GPU fan is always on and it's rpm is controlled. I unplugged the AMD fan on it to see if the temperature gets high. As expected, the GPU temp was rising over 80 Celsius so I plugged back the fan. With this heatsink modification, I overclocked the 8800GT and the temperature only reached 70 Celsius max during the FurMark test. I'm satisfied with the results.
