Touchscreen Tablet Reviews: the iPad and the rest

Just like the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the Toshiba Folio 100 was officially launched at last year's IFA trade show in Berlin. Despite attracting less hype than the Korean manufacturer's tablet, the new Folio can still boast the biggest screen on the market, alongside the Archos 101 IT. It combines this 10.1'' touchscreen display with an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 16 GB of memory and Android 2.2. The competition—which includes not just Apple, but Samsung, Dell and Archos—have all opted for a restricted set of connectivity options or a fiddly choice of ports (micro USB, miniHDMI, microSD and proprietary connectors all feature elsewhere), but Toshiba has made a bold change. You wanted USB? You got it: one full-sized port and one mini! An HDMI output? There's one on the side, and it's not a mini either! There's no need to go and dig out that miniHDMI convertor ... Some tablets have a microSD card slot ... but the Folio has a real SD/SDHC slot. It's big, has lots of connectivity options, Android 2.2, and goes for around £400.

Toshiba Thrive spotted - a 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet due in Q3

By Thinkdigit, published 24-05-2011

Toshiba's Folio 100, last year’s Froyo-based tablet, fared poorly with critics and users alike, and a Honeycomb offering has been awaited ever since Toshiba announced it back at CES, apart from showing off some fairly well-received Honeycomb prototypes. Now, it seems it’s not going to be too long before such a device actually hits the market, for a 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet called the...

Rumor: HTC Puccini 10-inch tablet supports AT&T LTE

By SlashGear, published 05-10-2011

It looks like HTC is hard at work on a new tablet that will find its way to the AT&T network. HTC already has a tablet on the market called the Flyer, so a new and larger screen version is no surprise. The image attached below here is apparently a rendering of the tablet and that is just about all we have at this point other than rumors. The tablet will use a 10-inch screen according to leaked...
