The TomTom GO 2505-TM has virtually every feature that you could want in a nonconnected navigation device. And, the company packs all of that into a striking, slim chassis. The TM attached to the product name means that lifetime traffic and lifetime map updates are included in the $320 price (as of December 22, 2010). And, unlike the advertising-supported lifetime traffic offered on most Garmin Nuvi models and all-traffic-enabled Magellan RoadMate models, TomTom's traffic is advertising-free--you won't be annoyed by the popup ads found on competing traffic-enabled products. For those looking to save a few bucks, TomTom also offers the $300 GO 2405-TM, an identically featured device with a smaller, 4.3-inch screen. "M" only, "T" only, and base models aren't being offered for the newest entries in the GO product line in the United States. There's a lot that's new on the GO 2505. First, the display is a flat, borderless glass screen--much like what you'd find on an iPhone. The mounting bracket is also new. There's an easy-to-use twist-and-lock mechanism that secures the suction cup to your windshield or dashboard mounting disc.
