Vodafone, Three and Phones4U have declared that it will be stocking the Nokia Lumia 800 – the eagerly anticipated handset that sports Windows Phone 7.5. The thought of Nokia and gaming may bring to mind terrible memories of taco-shaped N-Gage, but the X7 looks set to change some opinions. Surprisingly waifish in the hand, with distinct tapering edges leaving it feeling like a crisp metal slice, the angular chassis (and Symbian OS) will probably polarize opinion nonetheless. The 4-inch display runs at 640 x 360, which is a slight disappointment, but Symbian Anna looks good with its new icons on the clear AMOLED panel. Colors are suitably vivid and blacks inky-deep. The 'mini' version of the Samsung Galaxy S II comes with a 3.7-inch screen – not exactly what you'd call small given that it's the same size as the HTC Desire S's display. The processor isn't exactly tiny either, rocking 1.4Ghz as it does, plus there's Android Gingerbread and front- and rear-facing cameras to play with too. The latter comes in at 5MP with autofocus and an LED flash as standard. ASUS CEO: 3D quadcore tablet in 2011, maybe Windows Phone in 2012

ASUS has confirmed plans to launch a 3D tablet running a quadcore processor sometime in 2011, though the slate will not have 3D cameras like the LG G-Slate. Speaking to hi-tech.mail.ru, ASUS CEO Jerry Shen said that quadcore chips – presumably NVIDIA’s Kal-El – will be essential for smooth video playback at Full HD resolution or higher. The company is aiming to be the second largest player in tablets by 2012, with a 5 to 8 percent market share. While Shen had plenty of praise for Apple, saying the company was ahead in interface and ecosystem, he also insisted that ASUS was ahead in hardware such as display technology. After all the speculation and then the mysterious disappearance of a Best Buy ad, we finally have an official number for the Motorola Xoom price tag. Motorola chief executive, Sanjay Jha, confirmed that the Xoom will sell for $799 unsubsidized and $600 for the WiFi-only version. “Competing with Apple you have to deliver premium products,” said Jha, adding that the Xoom software is also upgradable. “I am as focused on Android as I ever have been.
