Sound Bar Reviews

The main thing to consider with sound bars is where you're going to put them. Unless you have a piece of furniture that has been specially designed for a particular model, the installation of such a speaker can quickly become a nightmare. This is why Sony has launched a furniture range which includes amp and speaker within it: the G series. If you like IKEA stuff you're going to be disappointed: the G15 comes already assembled. This is because the sound part is very much built into the furniture: the upper part handles the top end of the spectrum and the lower part the low end. At the back you'll find the amp and connectors. Note, for transport from the place of purchase to your house, it weighs more than 60 kg. In terms of connectivity, we liked the fact that you can plug in any type of source. With three HDMI ins, two optical ins, an S/P DIF coaxial and analogue connectors, there's not much to fault the G15 on here. Especially as it has an HDMI out with ARC (Audio Return Channel), which means you can channel the audio signal from the receiver (the TV for example) towards your sound bar when you watch digital TV for example. 1.5 metres wide is big, but if you\'ve got a 60-inch TV, that's what you'll need.
