If camera and camcorder manufacturers are right about us, we're an awfully vain bunch. Apparently, all anyone wants take pictures and video of is themselves - that's why Casio built the flipping, swiveling Tryx pocket camera ($249, 3.5 stars), why Samsung added a second LCD to the front of the DualView TL225 ($349.99, 4 stars), and why Sony created the Sony Bloggie Duo pocket camcorder ($169.99 direct). A second, front-facing display and solid video quality makes it a fantastic device for video bloggers and self-portrait fans. If superior performance is what you seek, however, our Editors' Choice, the Bloggie Touch ($179.99-$199.99, 4 stars), is the better choice. It's obvious who Sony is targeting with the Bloggie Duo. Your color choices are violet, pink, green, and white (my review unit was green, thankfully). None are exactly understated; I wouldn't be surprised to see a Duo or two at a Justin Bieber concert. In general, this camcorder lacks the sleekness of the Bloggie Touch. And weighing 4.64 ounces and measuring 4.38 by 2.25 by 0.75 inches (HWD), it's also larger in every dimension than the Bloggie Touch. That's not to say it's big; it's about average size for this class, and will easily slip into a pocket.
