Hands on: iPhone 4S reviewUpdate: Ahead of our forthcoming and in-depth iPhone 4S review, we've added in more video, more information and taken a closer look at iOS 5 to help you decide whether to upgrade to the new iPhone. We've also taken the new iPhone 4S to our photo studio, so you can check out our new gallery of iPhone 4S photos. It may not sport a bigger screen or a different design, but the iPhone 4S is certainly a step on from its predecessor, although much of the attention will be focused on just how big that step is.Sporting the already-lauded A5 processor, improved aerial signal and a better camera, the hardware changes to the iPhone 4S from the iPhone 4 are by no means striking. It's difficult not to feel a little underwhelmed that an incremental increase has been 16 months comi...

Speculation is rife that we might be about to see a Nikon D4 released onto the market soon.Several hints suggest that it will be revealed as soon as this month, which would make sense given that the D3 was released back four years ago, back in August 2007, with the D3s following two years later. Rumours suggest that the D4 will be announced at the same time as the expected DX format, the Nikon D400.Nikon D4 specs Any impending D4 would sit at the top of Nikon's range, aimed at professional photographers and featuring a full-frame sensor. The D3 and D3s are both equipped with a 12.1 megapixel sensor, which by today's standards seems quite low, so expect this to be increased in the new model, perhaps even past the 24-million pixel sensor currently found in the D3x. A recent report by Sony Alp...

Let's get one thing straight: the HTC ChaCha is not the Facebook phone. It's not manufactured by Facebook. But let's get another thing straight, too: the HTC ChaCha is the Facebook experience. And it's even endorsed to a certain extent by the King of the network, Mark Zuckerberg, who gave a sermon about it at the phone's launch.HTC has taken its already winning Sense interface and remoulded it with a big blue 'F' at the centre - something the notoriously quiet Facebook founder went on record as saying he's "very happy" with and, in a nod to the future, how they "look forward to a lot more to come".Rocking the latest Android iteration, Gingerbread 2.3.3 and fully capable of a dance-off with some other 3G-capable Android devices, it's due to hit stores any day now, with a sim-free price tag ...

Our verdict on the best Android phones - constantly updatedThere's one key way in which Android is massively different from its Apple-branded smartphone competition - the number of phones out there running Google's hot mobile OS. Samsung makes loads of them. Sony Ericsson makes a few. Then you've got Android-powered phones from Acer, LG, Huawei and many others, while HTC releases more in a month than all the rest added together manage in a year. The many variations in screen size, processor power, software features and design makes finding the best Android phone for you extremely tough.Do you physically and emotionally need a QWERTY keyboard? Are you the sort of oddball who prefers the rough pressing needed to make resistive touchscreens work? Do you actually like Orange widgets? To help fin...

It's only natural to view the Canon 60D as a replacement for the semi-pro EOS 50D. As well as following on in typical numerical sequence, Canon also pronounced the EOS 50D obsolete at the same time as launching the new camera.Indeed, the Canon 50D was certainly showing its age, being outclassed even in many respects even by the more novice-friendly EOS 550D, including sensor resolution and the ability to shoot movie clips.Sure enough, the Canon 60D boasts a host of new goodies including an 18MP sensor, 1080p HD movie capture with a choice of frame rates and Canon's new iFCL metering system. And while the 3:2 aspect ratio LCD has the same 1,040k pixel resolution as on the Canon 550D, this time it comes with full pivoting facilities - a first for any Canon D-SLR.On top of that, you get an ex...
