First of all, we'd like to thank reader Stéphane C. who kindly agreed to bring his Samsung UE40ES6300 into out labs so we could test it. Samsung ES6300 series TVs are the first of the firm's high-end 2012 3D models to come with two pairs of glasses as standard. The series also boasts 200 Hz motion interpolation to keep fast-action scenes flowing smoothly, as well as Wi-Fi, Smart TV services and Edge LED backlighting (LED backlights around the edges of the panel). This TV is available in four sizes: 32" (UE32ES6300), 40" (UE40ES6300), 46" () and 55" (UE55ES6300). Thanks to Edge LED backlighting, the ES6300 has an ultra-slim 4.7 cm casing. The screen bezel is an even more impressive 5 mm, like in Samsung's other ES-series TVs. The image therefore looks almost like it's floating in thin air. The ES6300 has DLNA 1.5 support, as well as Samsung's usual host of connected services. You can therefore download all kinds of applications (VOD, Google Maps, Skype, etc.) but the majority of them aren't displayed in Full HD resolution. The TV's internal menus are nicely designed. Since last year, an explanatory text has been added to the right of each setting to help you find what you're looking for more easily.
