Samsung has unveiled dual-screen digital cameras that make it easier for people to take pictures of themselves alone or with friends. The TL220 and TL225, introduced Thursday, come with a 1.5-inch LCD on the front and a touch screen on the back. The front display lets the photographer see what the camera sees in positioning the device for a self portrait or when mugging for the camera with pals. Another ease-of-use feature is activating the camera's self-portrait mode by a single tap on the back LCD. The cameras' smile detection technology makes it possible for photographers to take pictures of themselves by simply tapping and smiling, according to Samsung. Both cameras have 12.2-megapixel sensors, a 4.6x lens, and a 720p video recorder. The TL225 has a 3.5-inch wide touch screen in the back, while the TL220 has a smaller 3-inch display. Both cameras have a 27-mm wide-angle Schneider Kreuznach lens. Along with the dual-screen cameras, Samsung also introduced the CL65, which has a global positioning system that tags pictures with location and time information for organizing photos later. In addition, the camera supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless technology. The latter makes it possible to upload pictures and video directly to social-networking sites, such as Facebook and YouTube. Well, if not, you might have missed a great show, since the Samsung DualView ST500(TL220) was introduced as a part of a segment celebrating the birthday of host Joy Behar. The segment, that was named Joys Favorite Things, only featured five products, and among them the ST500(TL220) was the only consumer-electronic product. The ST500(TL220) was introduced right at the beginning, but also featured in the middle of the segment. Along with the dual LCD screen, the show showcased the exciting features of the TL220, meaning the self-portrait function and self-timer function. Furthermore, the ST500(TL220) was also included in the shows opening trailer. Overall, this is great news, since and foremost, due to the many viewers of this show and high influence among female viewers.
