Due to lack of SU-4 Mode on the SB-600, it cannot be triggered with any other flash units besides the two listed above. Also, due to lack of external PC terminal, it cannot connect to Pocketwizards MultiMAX and / or Plus / Plus II. Camera models with built-in flash are capable of firing the SB-600 wirelessly. If one wish to prevent the onboard flash from reaching the subject, buy a $7 Nikon SG-3IR Panel and slide it into the flash hot shoe.

Nikon has released the D3100, which is an update to their entry-level DSLR range (the predecessors being the D3000 and the D5000). One of the big changes to this camera is that it now has 1080p video mode and AF-F, continuous autofocus during movie mode. So, what is the Nikon D3100 like? Is it worthy competition to the Canon 550D? Full size sample shots at Flickr: www.flickr.com

This video demonstrates the basic hands-on demonstration on Nikon's new professional-grade speedlight of SB-900. Note, there's a typo while flash head panning demonstration, it starts from 0º, 45º, 90º, then 180º both ways around. If you are not so sure about SB-900's "Light Pattern" - SB-900 can throw light in different directions: Above, Even, and Below. Below is useful when you are using the flash on a flash bracket. The DX and FX feature in the SB-900 allows you to use iTTL, iTTL-BL, iTTL-FP, or iTTL-BL-FP more accurately on FX and DX camera bodies. It will automatically switch to DX if you enter the DX Crop Mode on D3 / D3X / D700. SB-900 will automatically get the signal from the camera body and it will switch to either DX or FX. You can manually override that feature if you wish. Enjoy. On the another hand, the SB-800 could be triggered wirelessly by having SB-400 and / or SB-600 onboard (SB-800 switched to SU-4 Mode) or having SB-800, SB-900, or SU-800 onboard (SB-800 switched to Remote Mode). The SB-800 could be connected and triggered with Pocketwizards (MultiMAX and / or Plus / Plus II) due to built-in external PC terminal.

www.FroKnowsPhoto.com It is a huge day for Nikon Shooters and future DSLR camera owners. The announcement of the D3100 is a sign of things to come from Nikon. This will usher in a whole new crop (no pun intended) of sensors that should produce better quality photos and video. The D3100 will most likely be the first camera out of the gate with a D90 D300s and D700 replacements to follow. Let's look at the main features I am most interested in in the new D3100. The new CMOS sensor is a step forward over the CCD of the D3000. It should produce much better still images at all the different ISO settings. Keep in mind, higher ISO is in no way a replacement for using faster glass (F1.4,1.8 and 2.8 lenses) The new sensor also gives the D3100 the capability of recording full HD 1080 video at 24 frames a second. At lower quality settings you have the option to change the frame rate. The coolest most exciting addition for me is the ability to have continuous Autofocus during video recording. This means you will have an easier time when zooming and tracking a subject to hopefully get your focus right. A side note is that your internal microphone will pick up the sound of the focus motors when recording video. I feel that this will be a very very solid camera for capturing still images. The new sensor will certainly make this a better camera in higher ISO's. I do have a few concerns about this camera and they mostly fall on the video side of things. In my research so far I can not ...

The D3000 is a 10.2 megapixel DX format DSLR camera announced by Nikon on 30 July 2009. It is supposed to replace the D60 and D40 as Nikon's entry level DSLR. It features a 3.0-inch 230000-dot resolution LCD monitor, CCD sensor with ISO 100 - 1600 (3200 with Boost) and 3D tracking Multi-CAM1000 11-point AF system which makes it quite similar to the Nikon D200 in these main parts. The redevelopment of the city's Old Port took place in the early 90s, under the direction of architects Aurèle Cardinal and Peter Rose.[1] Today, the riverfront welcomes over seven million visitors per year. The historical Old Port offers Montrealers and visitors alike access to a wide variety of activities, including the Montréal Science Centre, with an IMAX Theatre, and the Montreal Clock Tower. It offers riverfront access for walking, cycling, roller-blading, quadricycle, pedalo and Segway rentals. It is also located at the eastern end of the Lachine Canal, which has itself been extensively refurbished as a popular destination for cycling, roller-blading and pleasure boating. The Old Port of Montreal changed its name to The Quays of the Old Port of Montreal in 2005. Every 2 years the Cirque de Soleil launches a new show from the Jacques Cartier Quay.[citation needed] Shipping has been moved further east to the present Port of Montreal site, leaving the riverside area of Old Port adjacent to Old Montreal as a recreational and historical area.

You will get to follow the journey from the dressing room to the stage for sound check and finally the show. Mixed in the entire video you will see the images that were captured at that particular time along with all technical information.
