iLuv iMM288 Stereo Speaker Dock for iPhone and iPod

The iLuv iMM288 Stereo Speaker Dock for iPod and iPhone is bit of a strange speaker system, not for what it features, but for what it lacks. Besides the most basic iPod speaker dock functionality, the dock has very few functions, connections, or buttons. At just $89.99 list, it certainly won't break the bank, and it manages to put out satisfyingly loud sound through its twin drivers - for a $90 speaker, of course. It tends to distort bass and clip high frequencies, and without a remote it loses a lot of iPod-speaker-dock convenience. Still, for the price, it's a decent choice if you want things to get loud. At 1.4 pounds and measuring 5 by 9.7 by 4 inches (HWD), the iMM288 is light, but not particularly portable. This is literally the most dead-simple iPod speaker dock we've ever tested, with no display besides a power light and only three buttons: Power, Volume Up, and Volume Down. You get just two inputs: Power and a 3.5mm auxiliary jack. And of course, there's the iPod dock connector. That's it. Alarm clocks are more complicated to use. Unfortunately, this simplicity means the system doesn't come with a remote, which is a standard feature in most iPod speaker docks at this point.
