ITX motherboards have been around for long time now. The problem is, they’ve been so far behind in technology and with such high price tags it makes them an option not even worth considering. However, with the release of the Intel Atom processor, a series of ITX motherboards using the processor have been released. Some people say these are the new generation of motherboards. Built with onboard processors, graphics and power supplies, you can easily build a low cost energy efficient computer system for around £200-250. The motherboard we’ll be reviewing today is manufactured by Zotac, a quickly expanding company. It’s built using the Nvidia ION graphics platform which supports even DirectX10. The Intel Atom processor used in this system is the Dual Core based Atom N330. Costing less than £200, these specifications are certainly quite impressive. Let’s see if the Zotac ION A-Series’ performance is as good as its specifications might suggest…. The Zotac ION arrives in a black and orange coloured box. The front indicates the processor the board uses (ATOM N330) and boasts that a 90 watt power supply is included.

The video card market has been surprisingly static in the second half of 2011, so Nvidia's recent introduction of a new product—the GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448—was a happy occasion on several counts. First, it was a chance for something different to perhaps offer a little extra value to Christmas shoppers. Second, it was an opportunity for us to revisit some fancy new GPU testing methods wi...

Just in time for the holiday season, Nvidia’s rolling out a new promotional GPU in select markets (read: US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Russia and the Nordic countries). The GeForce GTX 560 Ti With 448 Cores – and yes, that’s its actual name – is built around a toned-down version of the same GF110 GPU that powers the higher-end GTX 570 and GTX 580, rather than the GF114 GPU that the trad...
