Xigmatek hasn't been around the PC aftermarket for as long as some other companies, but they've certainly made a splash, marketing some very innovative designs (including pioneering work in the direct touch heatpipe design) to good reviews from customers and the press alike. I've reviewed a few of their CPU coolers and been very impressed with both the cooling performance and quality of Xigmatek products. This time out we've got Xigmatek's Durin D982 cooler in the lab for evaluation. For product names, Xigmatek often turns to characters from Norse mythology and the Durin is no exception. Named for the second dwarf in the Norse Poetic Edda, a diminutive master metalworker, Xigmatek's Durin is a small cooler and finely crafted from copper and aluminum. But can this relatively tiny cooler deal with high-watt processor temperatures? Follow along as we put it to the test. Purpose and targets of becoming one of the worlds leaders in thermal PC Industry were set for Xigmatek Co. Ltd in 2005, the founding year! To ensure reaching this project aims, Xigmateks management followed up with hard work, experiences and customer friendly business style.
