Tuniq Potency 550W PSU

Recently at Tech-Reviews we’ve been reviewing a lot of high wattage power supplies. We haven’t however looked at the lower range units. Luckily today though, we’ve been handed a Tuniq Potency 550W to review. Can it live up to the same performance standards as higher wattage units? Well there is only one way to find out, introducing the Tuniq Potency 550 Watt… Tuniq’s Potency arrives in a black cardboard box; unfortunately mine was a little tatty. On a shelf, this doesn’t particularly standout from the crowd. On the front is simply an image of the PSU and some logos indicating the features entailed: 80 Plus and SLI. The rear of the box sports all the features which are clearly bullet pointed. Three stickers down the right-hand side are evident – these list the different wattage units available. A sticker is stuck over the wattage of the particular power supply – mine being a 550W. This sticker is the only way in which a potential buyer knows what wattage the power supply is – not the clearest way to display such a key part of information. Opening the box up reveals why it was slightly tatty. The cardboard used is of very low quality and seems relatively thin.
