With all these new 80 Plus Gold units coming down the pipe in recent weeks, I thought it might not be a half bad idea to take another look at one of the first Gold units to hit the market. A while back, I reviewed the Seasonic SS-650KM, also known as the X-650. And it was a most excellent unit indeed. But that was the baby of the X series family at the time, the lowest powered unit in the line, and up until now the 750 watt version has gone overlooked at this website. I'm changing that today. We're going to have us a good long look at the X-750, and see if it's as good as little brother is. As is often the case, we'll start with box pictures again. I suppose you could say I've gotten predictable in this way, starting out with box pictures every time, but what else am I going to start out with? Pictures of cats and pipe organs and the road construction people making all that noise outside my house right now? Of course I'm going to start with the box. As is often the case with these power supply boxes, stuff is printed on this one. This part of the box has marketing in six different languages, none English. This is because, like the X-650, all the English marketing is on the back of the box. This is pretty much identical to the X-650 box, so I'll just go ahead and paste in the details from that review.
