The HALE90 represents the company's reinvention of its power supply line up that hasn't been refreshed in over 3 years. But with the introduction of new iconic case known as the Phantom, NZXT needed something high quality to go with it and thus the HALE90 series of PSUs was born. The power supply series comes in 550, 650, 750, 850 and 1000 watt ratings. All of them are 80PLUS Gold certified and are built with a single 12 volt rail, active PFC, a modular design and uses Japanese made capacitors that represent a huge jump in quality over previous NZXT models. The new series also offers a 5 yr warranty and according to the company's front man, Johnny Hou, it represents a new commitment to extremely high quality products moving forward. We'll be beating up a set of these PSUs for a long term test to see if they will stand up to extended abuse in our test systems. If they survive, this should prove once and for all that NZXT is serious about their commitment to upping the ante starting with the HALE90 and the now iconic, Phantom chassis.
