A noob-friendly tutorial that I created to help people with overclocking Core i7 CPU's. Remember that this tutorial was done with C0 stepping, D0 stepping doesn't need nearly as much voltage as C0. To see what settings I'd use for 3,2GHz and 3,66GHz check video responses.

Hey Rodney, I love the new videos you been putting up lately, I've learned tons in the past few days watching them. I'm looking to build my first computer and I have a budget of $1500 to work with, I've trying to decide between the AMD Phenom II x4 955 and Intel's Core i7 920. At a chance the 3.2GHz vs 2.66GHz seems like a no brainer but I've read a lot of reviews in favor of the i7 920, in your opinion which would be the better choice? The system will be used for both gaming and graphic design. Thanks much! -michael

I have had a few people ask me how to overclock the 930. Now these aren't the best settings in the world;however, they are what made my PC stable 24/7. Please make sure you do this in a slow gradual process and be patient with it. I myself did not get to 4.0GHz right away, I went through trial and error and I suggest you do the same. Unless you're a long time overclocker and you're just lazy, then feel free to copy my settings. If you're a first timer, please try to learn from this. Part 3 of my Hackintosh guide. In this part we take a look at what hardware I used to build a Custom PC with Intel i7 920 for my Hackintosh. A computer that will perform just as good as the entry level Mac Pro (Quad Xeon 2.66GHz). Partslist: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Max 24GB RAM, 6 RAM-slots, 2xGigabit LAN, 10xSATA, 12xUSB2.0, 3xFW400. Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3 Max 16GB RAM, 4 RAM-slots, 1xGigabit LAN, 8xSATA, 10xUSB2.0, 2xFW400. DVD-burner: Sony Optiarc AD-7240S-0B (But most DVD-burners will work just fine). Memory: OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Model OCZ3G1600LV6GK. (Most memory types will work just fine). You can go for a slightly cheaper 1066MHz kit if you don't plan to overclock. CPU: Intel i7 920, 2.66 GHz. Or the new i7 930, 2.8GHz. Only $10 more than the i7 920 on newegg. Casing: Whatever you like, as long as it is ATX-compatible. For Europeans I would like to mention a brand new casing from Fractal. Fractal Design Define R2. I'm actually considering buying one, and use it instead of my Lian Li. :) PSU: Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W (12cm fan) COOLER MASTER Silent Pro 600 (13,5cm fan, modular cabling). Thermaltake TR2 TRX-650M 650W (14cm fan, modular cabling). I'd recommend modular cabling, and the biggest fan. Bigger fan = less noise. And the Thermaltake is extremely cheap. HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" But you choose what you want. Any type will work. Videocard: The Nvidia 9600's are ...

This video was recorded for educational purposes. Video was demonstrating the final level of Call of Duty Black Ops game without any cut scenes. Here is the settings I used to capture this video: Processor: Intel Core i7 930 @ 3.8Ghz - heavily overclocked on stock cooler Memory : OCZ Gold High Performance 6Gb of DDR3 1600 Mhz cas 8-9-9-24 Video card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 5770 1Gb GDDR5 superoverclocked at stock-single card OS: Windows XP SP3 - it is better for Moroz Video Capture to capture the audio and Black Ops using directx9c anyways Capture software: Moroz Video Capture to capture gameplay on the same computer - no hardware required. Moroz Video Converter to split video and set the watermark. Do I like the game? I really like the single player, first two mission was bad, reminds me cod2 graphically and did not feel like 2010, but then graphics got serious, nice shadows, many particles. I like singleplayer, I am not going to have time for multiplayer but singleplayer is fine, and after you finished the game you can play the zombies mission. Multiplayer has a lot of features, like class, weapon upgrade and etc... I think this game worth 49 dollars, but no more then that. Multiplayer, I think battlefield bad company 2 is more fun, but I played only like 1 hour. One Radeon HD 5770 1Gb is enough to run this game at the maximum settings on 1920x1080 smooth. This video was split into two parts, watch them both for full video. Please thumbs up if you like this video, subscribe ...
