You see, my amazing daughter overcame a lot to even compete in a regional talent show - let alone win it. Olivia had undiagnosed Epilepsy. And now this video is her audition tape for America's Got Talent! Olivia is 12 now. Her epilepsy is under control and she's so much better. It's amazing. Thank you God. She was still undergoing a lot of tests and she wasn't even on any medications yet. In fact, she was having petit mal seizures immediately before and after her performance but not during it. I almost did not let her go onstage. It was a last second decision to let her up there. I only did it because her sister, Katie, was going to be onstage with her and because she just loves to perform so much. I am so glad I did. But not for the obvious reasons you're probably thinking. Earlier the same day of the competition, Olivia found out she couldn't go on her school trip because of her condition. She was really upset because she couldn't be with her friends and because Epilepsy was starting to over take her life. But she's a little fighter, and she decided she was going to do the talent show that night - no matter what.
