A few weeks ago, we got the chance to take a look at In Win's top-tier Dragon Rider chassis. (See the review .) I was impressed with the innovative features and overall quality of the case, but I expect it to have a hefty price tag when it arrives on the market. This time out, we have an In Win chassis from the other end of the spectrum. Their Griffin case comes to market as a budget chassis but has a distinctive look and some interesting features. Let's take a closer look at the Griffin and see where it fits in this highly competitive market segment. IN-WIN Development Inc., an ISO 9001 manufacturer of professional computer chassis, power supplies and digital storage devices, is the leading provider of enclosure solutions to system integrators worldwide. Founded in 1986, IN-WIN provides high quality chassis that conform to all safety regulations, as well as unsurpassed customer service. In Win was well trained to become a top-notch manufacturer of core technology to enhance internal core competence to meet what customer and market needs constantly.
The Griffin is just one of the many awesome cases of IN WIN’s Destiny Series. This case is aptly named Griffin to convey a sense of the power and strength of the product. In Win has geared the Griffin towards users who want an aesthetically pleasing case along with functionality and decent airflow. They have also added tons of nice features at a great price. Now let’s take a look at the INWIN Griffin and see if the right case for you. Special thanks to IN WIN for providing us with the Griffin Case to review. The Griffin comes in the standard box but the cardboard was thick, making the box pretty sturdy compared to other case boxes. On one side of the box there is a black illustration of the case. The other side has a decorative logo with the name of the case. Upon opening up the box the case is nicely protected by 2 large pieces of Styrofoam. There is also a plastic bag wrapped around the computer case. When you look at the IN WIN Griffin you’ll notice the eye catching details. Visually, this case is pretty sweet. While looking at the upper front part of the Griffin case you will find 4 External 5.25” drive bay openings. Each drive bay has a metal mesh cover equipped with a dust filter behind the mesh.
