Former Heisman winner (1988), Oklahoma State RB, and all-time great Barry Sanders will join Robert Griffin III on the cover of NCAA Football 13. Sanders won a fan vote contest among seven other former Heisman winners to join 2011 Heisman winner RG3 for the cover (the PS3 version of which is below). Sanders beat out Georgia RB Hershel Walker for the distinction. For more on NCAA Football 13's presentation, check out this preview. Also, look for more info on NCAA's gameplay on April 17. Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure has been a big success for Activision, which is probably crystal clear if you're the parent of a young Skylanders fan (or a fan yourself). Tracking down the figurines is almost a game of its own. To further complicate the process, the game's 32-character roster has been split among various retail configurations, making it tricky to track down specific figures if you don't know what you're looking for. With that in mind, I've compiled a list of all of the game's roster, along with their official bios and how they're available – individually or as part of a bundle. It may not make particularly elusive critters pop up on shelves, but it could make your life a bit easier. The characters are grouped below by their elemental ty...

Capcom announced it will launch a demo on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the coming months. The demo allows players to test drive two of the nine character classes and three pawns. With the the rogue-like Strider, you can square off against an airborne Griffin. With the melee-focused Fighter, you go toe to toe with a Chimera in an underground cavern. If you plan to pick up the game anyway, the demo is still worth checking out because you can get a head start on character customization; Capcom is allowing you to import both your playable character and main pawn into the retail version of the game. For more news on Capcom's open world role-playing game, check out our preview of the pawn system. Dragon's Dogma ships for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 22 in North America and Ma...

PAX 2011: Insiders including Bethesda's VP of marketing explain how companies sell to gamers from three different perspectives. Who Was There: AKQA gaming account lead Ed Davis, Bethesda Softworks vice president of marketing and PR Pete Hines, and CBS Interactive/GameSpot regional sales manager Paul Caparotta. Marketing to gamers is a little different from marketing to the mainstream. What They Talked About: Each of the panelists had something unique to offer when it comes to marketing to gamers. Davis kicked off the panel by talking about segmentation of the audience and moving forward from that data. This approach differs from that of Hines, who believes that a good game can sell itself from intrigue and appeal at an early stage and that no marketing...

As of this moment, you don't have any idea what the cover of the upcoming UFC Undisputed 3 looks like. As it turns out, neither does publisher THQ. That's where you come in. MMA fans have a chance to influence the cover selection, drawn from a pool of five candidates. Choose wisely. “We are excited to let fans choose the cover athlete for UFC Undisputed 3,” UFC President Dana White said. “Frankie, Georges, Anderson, Jon, and Cain are five of the most popular athletes in our sport and each wants to be on the cover. We love making our fans a part of the process and we’ll leave this one up to them.” If you're not typically on a first-name basis with practitioners of mixed martial arts, the five fighters' full names are Frankie Edgar, George...

Capcom's Dragon's Dogma is an open-world, action-based RPG—a pretty big departure for the company. Earlier, I had a chance to take on a griffin in a mid-boss sized encounter. Today on the floor at E3, I checked out a level that ended with a different mythological beast. And even though this level was the game's prologue, the battle was no less intense. The beginning stretch of the demo got me reacquainted to the basics, such as equipping and lighting a torch to illuminate a path through a dark series of caverns. The bodies of soldiers littered the ground, and my companion warned me of the dangers ahead. Like me, he was a melee-based fighter, and we both tore through the first few waves of goblins without much trouble. A bit further down the path, I encountered a stone th...

A quick search on the web will bring up startling figures about how much time we spend watching TV, and now you can add to that from just about anywhere in the world using your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Doing so is wonderfully easy, but the variety of ways in which you can get live (or indeed catch-up) TV on your iOS device can be a bit bewildering at first, so we spent many hours trying out lots of the hardware and software you can use. Oh, all right, we watched lots of daytime TV - it's a tough job, but someone's got to do it. We've focused on ways to watch or record live TV using your iOS device, but that's only part of the story - you may want to catch up on something you missed the previous night or enjoy some of the videos you've got stored on your home PC. Let's explain a couple o...

Capcom is known for being a risk-taker among Japanese publishers, but the newly announced Dragon’s Dogma is pushing the company out of its comfort zone even further. The RPG blends party management and action with an ambitiously large open-world setting and impressive boss encounters. I was able to play through one such encounter, against a griffin. There wasn’t much context to the demo, aside from knowing that players start the game off after having their heart stolen by a dragon. The dragon then instructs players to follow a series of quests. That’s all I knew as my party of four descended a hill toward a cluster of goblins. They’ve either killed a large animal or stumbled upon its corpse, and they’re celebrating the occasion with dancing and hooting. Unfort...
