Today, we'll be looking at one of In Win's latest cases, the BUC 101. An upgrade from the original BUC, the BUC 101 comes equipped with two USB 3.0 ports, three 120mm fans, and an external SATA port. The case has plenty of tool-free implementations, not only for setup, but for maintenance down the road for those long-time users. Read on further to see what else this case has in store. Special thanks to In Win for providing us with the BUC 101 to review. The BUC 101 comes packaged in a standard retail box with a large image of the case on the front along with the product name and some features on small badges about the case. The sides cover more specifications about the case. Overall it's a pretty plain box, but it's certainly not of low quality. To give you a good idea of how the BUC 101 comes and a brief overview check out the video below. Like most In Win cases, the BUC 101 has a non-standard design. You either like them or you hate them. I personally like In Win’s style of cases because they’re different from the norm. Aside from the standard steel cage, the front and top of the case have a few extra inches of plastic.
Our impression with In-Win is that the company often offers products with a slight artistic flavor. Take their Na, for example. Despite being a simple enclosure, it has elegant looks and an artistic flair that draws attention. While not as well-known as big players like Antec, Thermaltake, or Silverstone when comes to computer chassis, In-Win has a long history of making computer cases. Their latest enthusiast's case, the Buc, combines their artistic talent and functionalities. And the end result is a feature-rich chassis with a unique look. The latest Buc is the company's mid-tower case designed for enthusiasts with black SECC steel and plastic construction that resembles military heavy armor. At first, the Buc slightly resembled Darth Vader's armor. Depending on taste, the case can be either pleasant or overly macho, given its all-black metallic look. We think it is not overly done and has a bit of a flare without going overboard. The Buc is shipped in the usual cardboard box with Styrofoam cutouts holding the case in place so the case will not move around and be damaged during shipping.
Choosing the right case is basically the first step in any build. The right case should allow you to make the best use of your rig. Whether your looking for expandability or even just the basics, the case you choose should provide just what you want without breaking the bank. Up for review today is a new case from IN WIN that is simply called Buc. IN WIN packed loads of features into this mid-tower package. The case is mostly tool-less and even features externally-accessible hard drive bays, much like the ThermalTake Level 10 and Level 10 GT. Additionally, the case comes with three 120mm fans right out of the box. So what other tricks does this case have up its sleeve? As already mentioned, the case has external access to the internal hard drive bays though the side panel. The back of the box depicts a shield and "Buc Destiny Lite Series" off to the side. Just below that are a list of some other prominent features of the case. Next up we have the right side of the box, which shows the features of the case. Last up is the left side of the box, which displays the specifications table for the case. Once open, we find our new case wrapped in a plastic bag and sandwiched between two pieces of Styrofoam. Well so far it's unboxed, but what's underneath the bag?
In Win is a company we know for making cases that are attractive, have all of the features you want, but still are affordable. Today we will be taking a look at their new BUC “buck” mid-tower case. The concept behind the BUC is “strong shield” and this concept is echoed through the case with its strong SECC steel construction and stylish interior and exterior. The case features a practically tool-less design, 3 120mm cooling fans, USB 3.0 connectivity, and a hot swap module on the side of the case. Let’s take a look and see if this is the perfect case for your next build. The BUC definitely has its own style; it does not look like a plain old mid-tower. The chassis is all black, which is the only color that it comes in. The actual dimensions of the case are 485 x 210 x 506mm (19.1? x 8.3? x 19.9?), which means it is not an overly-large mid-tower, but not a small one either. The top and bottom of the front bezel extrude out from the case, which gives the BUC a unique look. Towards the bottom of the case there is a honeycomb bezel that covers the 120mm intake fan. Right above it is a single 3.5-inch external drive bay.
In the past couple of years, In Win has produced some of the most innovative computer cases on the market. Here at Tweaknews, we've been fortunate enough to review most of them, and they've sent us an example of one of their newest offerings, the BUC.
