Do you like the large screen of an all-in-one PC, but can't afford its over $800 price tag? Or are you a photo enthusiast who needs a bigger screen but doesn't want to grab a second mortgage to pay for a quad-core system and a large screen? In either case, take a look at the HP Pavilion p6627c-b ($749.99 list) desktop. Sure, there are a few drawbacks to the system, like an integrated graphics solution circa 2006, but it all works for day-to-day and light multimedia use. The p6627c-b's bundled monitor, the HP 2310m, is the heart of this desktop system package. The monitor includes HDMI, DVI, VGA, and audio inputs. Since the p6627c-b only uses the VGA input, you could theoretically also hook up your Playstation 3 (via HDMI) and another laptop (Via DVI) and switch between the three inputs. The p6627c-b desktop itself is the same monochromatic HP Pavilion case we've seen before with any HP system that has a p6xxx model number. The p6627c-b's case is reasonably roomy, with space for quite a few future upgrades. There's a free PCI card slot, two PCIe x1 card slots, one PCIe x16 slot, space for one extra optical drive and up to two more hard drives.
