Recently visited at OCC was the Deepcool Ice Matrix 400 - a nicely performing, low cost heatsink with a very small footprint that accepts a 120mm fan. It was good for mainly stock scenarios where overclocking wasn't taking place, however Deepcool may have something on the table that has all of the great features of the Ice Matrix 400, but can handle a little more heat. The Ice Matrix 600 has two extra heatpipes and only a slightly larger footprint. The extra heatpipes and more mass should make this cooler achieve even lower temperatures than the Ice Matrix 400, and handle overclocking a little more effectively. Deepcool, founded in 1996, is now rapidly gaining popularity in many countries around the world, though they have been a supplier to Dell, Fujitsu, Siemens, and other companies for years. They offer many heatsinks, GPU and chipset coolers, notebook coolers, and hard drive coolers. Many of their products display their flagship colors of black and blue, making it easy to spot one of their coolers with the naked eye.
Deepcool is a relative newcomer to the highly competitive PC cooling aftermarket, but they have been making some pretty big waves, and have an impressive lineup of cooling products and other accessories to tempt enthusiasts. We recently got a chance to look at their Ice Matrix 400 cooler (see the review ) and, while it was a good cooler, we found it lacked the performance to be a top performer when things got really hot. This time out, we have their Ice Matrix 600 CPU cooler in the lab for evaluation. It's a great looking tower-style cooler with what Deepcool calls a matrix design. It's also got more heatpipes, more finned area and a bigger fan. Let's see how much these attributes improve the cooling performance. Deepcool was founded with the mission of providing the best performance & humanized thermal solutions for worldwide customers. Deepcool design and manufacture a comprehensive range of high quality products, covering desktop cooling solutions, laptop cooling solutions, server cooling solutions, embedded cooling solutions, and other thermal components.
