ASUS P7P55D Deluxe Motherboard Review For the written review! www.motherboards.org Follow us on Twitter! www.twitter.com Intel is the king of the chipset and CPU business with more motherboards using Intel chipsets being sold than all of the other chipset manufacturers put together and then some. Last year Intel introduced their Core i7 CPU along with the X58 chipset and while it has been successful for Intel, has not hit the mainstream as the cost of ownership of the new platform is expensive, especially when one considers the new CPU, new memory, new motherboard etc Today Intel is launching their mainstream version of the X58 chipset and Core i7 CPUs, the P55 and Core i5 respectively. ASUS motherboards have long been a favorite of Doc and I with multiple personal computers built around ASUS motherboards in our past. The hardcore enthusiast has loved their boards for the extra speed, the Overclock ability and the features that ASUS brings to the table. ASUS is the number one motherboard manufacturer in the world with over 1/3 of all motherboards using an ASUS based motherboard today. To go along with the launch of the P55 chipset from Intel and the Core i5 CPU launch, ASUS is releasing a slew of motherboards on the new chipset including the P7P55DX Deluxe that Im reviewing today.

I've finally gotten around to taking a quick look at one of ASUS' new P55 boards with USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0Gb/s. Basically not a whole lot has been updated except for those two MAJOR updates to the spec of this board. You can save yourself the trouble of watching if you already know what a USB 3.0 or SATA 6.0Gb/s port looks like.

The "Deluxe" level board has all the bells and whistles without the wicked colour scheme of the Maximus III Formula. Overall I think I'd go for the Maximus III Formula if I was spending this much on an ASUS P55 board.

The Evo version of ASUS' P7P55D lineup fits into kinda a weird niche. It's for users who don't want to pay for the high end "Deluxe" board, but a few features beyond what's already offered on the "Pro" level board. Personally if I was on a budget I'd be looking at the Pro board because it includes SLI support, and this one doesn't seem to have much in terms of benefits over it.

The game is good, the cinematics are awesome, the soundtrack is gorgeous. But when you see fucking shits like that you just feel like bombing crytek's HQ. Pc got nerfed again. Stupid console ports. Computer spec: i5 quadcore 2.66(oc'd at 3) xfx ati 5870 ddr5 1gb 4gb ddr3 7-8-7 2043 mhz RAM. p7p55d deluxe asus motherboard 1TB HDD cooler master haf 932 case(blue leds) 1000w PSU 2 dvd burners Graphics are maxed in ''settings''. V-sync is on, 1920x1080, Extreme settings. Extreme doesn't mean much to me because I can't know the precise level of shadows, texture(which is horrible in this game, by the way) AA,water and some shits like that. HOWEVER, I did tweak some GFX settings using a .cfg file. Dumb crytek visit Steam forums for details. This is about 6 mins of footage folks. Just look at all the flaws -car takes wayyyy too much bullets -DANGER DANGER DANGER DANGER DANGER DANGER DANGER -bullet goes through corpse -Appearing-dissapearing NPCs -incredibly DUMB AIs -Shooting at trees doesn't do shit -you can kick a car as much as you want, the body of the car will always remain scratchless -It needed a car explosion to advance the storyline text? All those shotgun shots and pistol shots werent enough noisy? -No dx11(and f*** you, I have a DX11 card) -Floating soldier?????? -FLOATING ARMS????????? and much more.. Crysis 2 is doomed on PC.
